about me!

Growing up, I wasn’t always a sports fan. I dragged my feet as my parents forced me to attend football games, determined to turn me into the mega fans that they were. Thankfully, after a few years, it worked. As my knowledge and passion for sports grew, I began to realize that it went further than just being a fan and that I wanted to pursue a career in sports. At first, I didn’t know what that could look like, but I soon found my passion for sports marketing and communications.
I have loved running the UNC Hockey social medias and capturing and sharing the exciting moments and emotion that exists in the world of sports. However, I have also grown to appreciate the other aspects of running a media department. Communicating with journalists who are going to tell athlete’s stories, watching my team grow and learn throughout the season, and seeing our efforts having an impact on team revenue are just a few of reasons I want to put in the work and effort to run the department.
As I continue to work in the world of sports communication, I am excited and ready to do the work. I know first hand how much passion and value sports can bring to a persons life, and I want to work to bring those emotions to the next generation of sports fans, like my parents did for me.
